If you require certain medication on a regular basis, your doctor may authorise you to obtain repeat prescriptions from the surgery. Please use the computer slip, ticking the boxes for the items you require, or use our Online Repeat Prescription Service which is available 24 hours a day.
We regret that except in exceptional circumstances, we cannot take repeat prescription requests over the telephone. We can accept repeat prescription requests by post or by fax if you make sure you give your full name, date of birth and name and strength of medication.
If you do not have a computer slip please fill in a prescription request form available from reception. Unless you tell a receptionist that you wish to collect your prescription slip from the surgery, it will be collected and dispensed by either:
The times for collection are clearly displayed at reception. The receptionists will be happy to answer any queries.
You should allow two working days for the prescription to be printed and dispensed.
You MAY be entitled to free prescriptions if you suffer from certain conditions or are on a low income. Ask your doctor or pharmacist and read NHS leaflet NHS prescriptions.
If you cannot get free prescriptions you may still be able to save money buy buying a pre payment certificate, which is like a season ticket for either 4 or 12 months worth of prescriptions. We keep a small supply of the leaflets and forms. Please ask at reception or ring 0845 8500030 to buy one over the phone using your credit or debit card.
